Keep a close eye on your exterior.  This is thee time of year
Keep a close eye on the exterior.  This is the time of the year when rodents are looking for a warmer place to manage the winter season.  Don't overlook your weep holes.  Newer constructed brick exterior homes.  Inspect these at least 2 times per year.  Weep holes should have a mesh or screening to keep insects and rodents from entering the structure.

As you are doing your fall clean ups, keep in mind rodent season is right around the corner.  Take some time to look for entry points around the water hose, air conditioner line, or small gaps that rodents would enter when it starts to get cold.  Look for larger bushes and trees that over hang the roof which would allow live animals like squirrels and raccoons to access your attic.

I have been hearing more and more, the false information and misrepresentation.  Things being told to customers from other pest management individuals.   Not professionals...individuals... People do not spray your legs and shoes down with pesticides, to prevent bed bugs from traveling on you.  As a consumer, do your homework.  Make sure the company and technician are licensed and certified.  Make sure they are reputable.  Any representative, if asked should be able  to show you license and certification.  On the spot.. no excuses for not having....

Summer is a good time to make sure your all your crawlspace, attic, and exhaust vents are sealed or screened properly.  Don't overlook your chimney.  Be sure it is capped and secured tightly.

Spring is here.  With the weather changing the bugs are beginning to become active again.  Making changes to the outside can help reduce the bugs you see on the inside.  Rake and remove all the old leaves,  trim the bushes and trees back away from the structure.
